BitcoinPlus Wallet has numerous nodes hardcoded into the wallet. These nodes are managed by The XBC Project to ensure there are nodes running 24/7. If for whatever reason you are unable to sync your BitcoinPlus Wallet you might want to create a configuration file and add the details that are actually being used at that time.

The file you need to create is called -

This is done by using a notepad or a similar Text Editor.

For a current live list of nodes simply visit one of the BitcoinPlus block explorers.

This can be found at - http://block.bitcoinplus.org/network

The nodes you need to add are shown in the address column.

You will then need to create you configuration file.

1) Open notepad or any text editor. Add a few of the nodes by using the command

addnode=[ip address]

The screenshot below shows the first 4 nodes added to the list.

Save this file as bitcoinplus.conf

Make sure it is NOT saved as bitcoinplus.conf.txt

2) The Configuration file will need to be placed into the Data directory of the BitcoinPlus Wallet.

A large part of BitcoinPlus code is based on Bitcoin. The location of the Data Directory for BitcoinPlus is therefore the same as Bitcoin.

Go to Start -> Run (or press WinKey+R) and run this:

Bitcoin's data folder will open. For most users, this is the following locations:

C:\Documents and Settings\YourUserName\Application data\bitcoinplus (XP)

C:\Users\YourUserName\Appdata\Roaming\bitcoinplus (Vista and 7,8,10)

"AppData" and "Application data" are hidden by default.

By default BitcoinPlus will put its data here:

You need to do a "ls -a" to see directories that start with a dot.

If that's not it, you can do a search like this:

find / -name wallet.dat -print 2>/dev/null

By default BitcoinPlus will put its data here:

~/Library/Application Support/bitcoinplus/

Once you have located the data directory you need to copy the configuration file into this folder.

You Data Folder will end up looking similar to below -

Restart you BitcoinPlus Wallet for the configuration file to take effect.
